COLA&POLA MADE IN CHINA
“Cola&Pola” is a signature beverage in Colombia, is like a shandy, a mix between Beer and Soda. This brand has been sold in the country for over 25 years. To see how much Colombia loved us, we decide to create a classic Chinese TV spot in which they “apparently” launch a copy of our original drink.
CAN DESIGN
For April Fool's Day, we started by exploring several designs of Cola&Pola as a traditional Chinese drink and chose the best one to surprise the Colombian market.
THE HOW
We collaborated with a Colombian influencer in China and put our bootleg design in his hands. After just one of his posts, thousands of people reacted on social media, proudly defending the true origin of Cola&Pola.
TVC ART DIRECTION
We recreated a classic and extravagant Asian TV commercial, having characters disguised as the product, anime and special effects. Then, with Colombian actors of Chinese descent and the help of a professional translator, we taught them how to pronounce their lines.
