In Colombia, the most important retailers are convenient stores. Small families own businesses that represent 52% of the mass consumer market. A tradition that goes back a hundred years which never had to change until 2020, when 23% of stores had to close during quarantine.
HOW IT WORKED
We have revolutionised local family stores by listing them on Google Maps and enabling customers to place orders directly on our website through WhatsApp.
After including more than 60,000 stores on our platform, other countries in the region started to apply our model, helping up to 500,000 families in 9 countries.
